Being registered for 16 Residents adds to our homely atmosphere where Residents are part of our "family" and are cared for by fully vetted trained staff 24hrs a day in comfortable homely surroundings. Our attentive staff are selected for their caring friendly and courteous qualities as well as their experience and dedication. The owner, who is the registered manager with The Care Quality Commission, actively works in the home daily and has owned the business since 1988.

Down Lodge is a spacious, well maintained home with bright airy rooms, all bedrooms are fully furnished although Residents can bring personal items of furniture to personalise their bedroom. Our Residents have access to a south facing garden via our large conservatory, along with a separate dining room and lounge. We also have the services of a local General Practitioner, Chriopodist, Hairdresser, and Dentist, along with our other facilities as detailed in our brochure for your reference.

Traditional meals are prepared by our own cooks daily following a varied and balanced nutritional menu, special diets can be catered for.
